(IN BRIEF) Thales has launched Imperva for AWS, making its enterprise-grade web application firewall available through AWS Marketplace as a SaaS offering. Thales said Imperva for AWS keeps traffic within the AWS network, enabling protection at scale with zero added latency. Built on key AWS services, Imperva for AWS uses Amazon CloudFront, AWS’s fully managed content delivery network, to simplify deployment while strengthening application security. Unlike legacy content delivery network web application firewalls that route traffic outside the cloud provider’s network, Imperva WAF is deployed directly on Amazon CloudFront. Tim Chang, Vice President, Application Security at Thales, said Imperva for AWS makes it easier for customers to protect applications and APIs with enterprise-grade security that works out of the box.
