At the Monday, August 3 SCSD#2 Board meeting, Scott Cleland, principal at SHS, announced that Beck Haswell was awarded the 2026 Boys Milward Simpson Award, he explained what the award is. Trustee Fessler said Haswell joins a small crowd of high school students who have won this award. Haswell thanked his family for their support during his high school sports career. Chad Rose, Director of Bands at Sheridan High School, talked about Sheridan being named 2026 Best Communities for Music Education. Troy Decker gave a facilities update, including the roofing project at Woodland Park School, and the paving project for the driveways.
