Gather at the Gardens to learn about art during its first ever film screening. “We are excited to host our first-ever film screening on Monday, Aug. 10, from 5-6 p.m., featuring ‘Time And Other Materials,’ which is a 60-minute documentary that follows five accomplished Colorado women artists,” said Melissa Ebone, vice president of development for the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. Colorado women artists featured:Ana Maria Hernando is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the sacred feminine and its power. The film has earned recognition on the festival circuit, including an Official Selection at the LA Femme International Film Festival and the Montreal Women Film Festival, and a nomination at the New York Independent Art Film Festival. Following the film, director Amie Knox will join the audience for a live discussion about the making of the documentary and the artists featured in it.
