by WAKA Action 8 NewsLEE COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A Phenix City woman has been arrested in Lee County for impersonating a police officer. Investigators say on July 31, a deputy pulled over a woman in the 200 block of Lee Road 600 in Smiths Station for an expired tag. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Shaina Miller, pulled the card out and later told the deputy that she was a police officer with the Columbus Police Department. The deputy returned to the area of the original traffic stop, located Miller, and performed a second traffic stop. Miller has been charged with felony Impersonating a Peace Officer and was transported to the Lee County Detention Center with a bond of $3,000.
