This project will require sea turtle monitors to implement protective measures around nesting sites of sea turtles during beach construction activities. Primary Function:The Sea Turtle Monitor will be working alongside beach nourishment operations which will be conducted from April 15th through September 1st. The sea turtle monitor will conduct nightly surveys at 1-hour intervals in the construction area to ensure that any nighttime sea turtle nesting behavior is accounted for. Duties/Responsibilities:Monitor a designated area for sea turtle species, for up to 12 hours per day, 7 days per week. Identification of sea turtle species, and nesting behavior/areas.
