FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Marion County Schools superintendent Donna Heston and human resources administrator Kristin DeVaul has each filed lawsuits against the Board of Education alleging sex discrimination, creating a hostile work environment, and harassment. BOE President James Saunders, Vice President Kevin Rogers, and Co-Vice President Donna Costello are named as defendants in the suit filed by Morgantown-based attorney Ryan Umina. “But those screenshots of the current board president doing that have been preserved.” Days before the lawsuit was filed, Dr. Heston was having a regularly scheduled phone meeting with board president James Saunders. “When he thought he had immediately hung up the phone with her on a professional work call.”
