20-year-old WVU student charged as an accomplice in Flock camera vandalism

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A 20-year-old West Virginia University student has been charged in Monongalia County with damaging a Flock Camera.
Illia Petrov, 20, has been charged with damage, destruction, or theft of equipment used by emergency responders and conspiracy and has entered pleas of not guilty.
Last month, Wesley Jackson, 20, was also charged for damaging two of the devices on Chestnut Ridge Road.
Court documents say the crime happened on or around June 26, 2026.
Petrov is free on a $15,000 personal recognizance bond.
