State Senator Mike McGuire is holding a virtual town hall tonight at 6 p.m. to discuss California’s preparation for a predicted “super El Niño.”
The Press Democrat reports climate scientists and disaster experts will join the Healdsburg Democrat to break down what residents can expect this fall and winter.
NOAA reports an 81% chance of a historic El Niño, which typically brings intense rainfall, flooding, and heightened wildfire risks to Northern California.
McGuire stated the goal is to separate fact from fiction and give locals the straight scoop on the hype.
The event will stream live on YouTube, and viewers can still RSVP and submit questions online at pdne.ws/45KZ1uJ.
