The Petaluma Argus-Courier reports a recently posted public notice reveals that “Blue Plate Restaurant LLC” has applied for a beer and wine permit at the site. The news sparked local rumors of a connection to San Francisco’s famous Blue Plate, though that restaurant’s owner confirmed there is no relation. Interior renovations are now underway following an exterior refresh, which preserved the building’s iconic blue tile roof. An opening timeline for the new dining spot has not yet been announced.
