The Lafayette County Commission recently hosted a countywide Road and Bridge Training for Special Road District Commissioners, road district employees and the Road and Bridge department in Lafayette County. https://dehayf5mhw1h7.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/1333/2026/08/04140441/monica-ritter-1-8-3-26.mp3The training also provided an opportunity for county officials and Special Road District commissioners to discuss future collaboration, share ideas, and continue working together to maintain and improve Lafayette County’s transportation infrastructure. The commission also announced the approval of the 2026 Local Use Tax distributions. Commissioners expressed appreciation to residents for choosing to shop locally and, when shopping online, using a local delivery address so those tax dollars remain in Lafayette County.
