Funeral services for 66-year-old Cynthia Lee Beard will be held Friday, Aug. 7, at 12 p.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Guthrie. Born June 13, 1960, in Logan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude Beard and Charles Johnson. Beard was a dedicated employee in Environmental Services at a local nursing home, where she took pride in providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a church mother, a member of the baptism team, and an usher. Survivors include her children, Pastor Marius (Christy) Beard, Shaquana (William) Darden and Lias Beard; sisters, Gayle Dillion and Yvette Johnson; her uncle, Michael Elliott; cousins, Charla Conrad, Tobeika Payton and Charles “C.J.”
