The Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 set a foldable record of 1.02 million pre-orders, beating the 0.97 million number for their predecessors. What the Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Flip8 achieved is an overall record, though, not just for the foldable category. For comparison, Galaxy Z7’s 1.04 million pre-orders last year were easily topped by the 1.3 million pre-orders for S25 phones.
