The revival of the cruise boat is part of the Tourism Department's efforts to strengthen tourism infrastructure and offer visitors new experiences on the iconic lake. Speaking to Rising Kashmir, Director Tourism Kashmir, Syed Qamar Sajad, said the department is focused on revitalising water tourism and improving facilities for visitors. He said restoring the cruise boat reflects the department's commitment to making Dal Lake more attractive for tourists and expanding tourism offerings in J&K. According to officials, the cruise boat had remained non operational for several years before being restored. The department plans to use the restored cruise boat for tourism promotion campaigns as well.
