Taking aim at the ruling National Conference, Koul alleged that the party had failed to honour the commitments made during the Assembly elections. He said the BJP would continue reminding people about these promises and hold the government accountable for its commitments. On the proposed Government Medical College in Handwara, Koul said the matter would be reviewed by the competent authorities and maintained that the institution should come up at its originally identified location. Replying to a question on Pakistan occupied Kashmir, he referred to the 1994 Parliamentary resolution, saying PoK is an integral part of India. He expressed confidence that the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister would take appropriate decisions on the issue.
