Civic activism aka citizen’s activism refers to the social norms, organisations and practices which facilitate greater citizen involvement in public policies and decisions. In fact ‘Citizen’s activism’ is a direct catalyst of ‘Indices of Social development’. A citizen’s activism should display development through three (3) axes- quantum, spread and depth of civic engagement. In fact, finally, ‘citizens’ activism should lead to citizens’ empowerment since both complement each other. Or is this citizen activism only galvanising a profound ‘waywardness’ in the youth of India?
