The Haystack Rock Awareness Program’s (HRAP) mission is to protect the intertidal and bird ecology of the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge and the Oregon Marine Garden at Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach. Position OverviewThe Program’s primary goal is to promote stewardship of the environment, and to prevent ecosystem degradation at Haystack Rock. HRAP offers interpretive education programs on the beach in front of Haystack Rock seasonally during low tides. Works with staff, volunteers and partner agencies to educate the general public and visiting school groups about the marine ecosystem at Haystack Rock. Fish and Wildlife Service, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Oregon State Parks, Friends of Haystack Rock and all City departments.
