According to the traffic advisory, commuters have been urged to avoid unnecessary travel on the highway and use it only after confirming the latest road status from the Traffic Police through its official social media platforms or the traffic helpline. The advisory said that traffic on NH-44 will be allowed subject to fair weather and better road conditions. Traffic Police further said no vehicle will be allowed to travel on the Mughal Road because of ongoing maintenance work and road conditions. On the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) Road, only one-way traffic will be allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar, subject to weather and road conditions. The advisory also said that movement on the Bandipora-Gurez Road and Bhaderwah-Chamba Road will remain subject to weather conditions and local administration clearance.
