MONTROSE -- A Randolph County man faces an impersonation charge after allegedly claiming to be an FBI agent receiving around $900 trillion weekly from the federal agency. Clinton Wayne Nelan, 33, of Montrose, is charged with one count of impersonation of a law-enforcement officer or official, a misdemeanor. Nelan allegedly claimed he was a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigations since 2016, and that he was still sworn in with the agency and was currently undercover. He also reportedly claimed to be receiving “900 and 90 trillion dollars” a week from the FBI. Nelan also allegedly claimed to be a police officer from Louisiana.
