Zerafa Civelli said the government was continuing to invest in public spaces so that Maltese families and tourists could enjoy safer, more accessible and better-equipped beaches. “Beaches are among the most used public spaces during the summer, and therefore it is our duty to continue investing in them,” she said. Vella said the interventions followed a period of planning and coordination to ensure that the facilities were ready for use during the summer season. The ministry said the work was intended to ensure that the thousands of Maltese residents, Gozitans and tourists visiting beaches every day could use clean, safe and accessible facilities.
