Operations have resumed on the Red Line after a 10-day shutdown for repairs. Even though Red Line service resumed, Boston-area MBTA riders found themselves going nowhere fast last Friday. At 5 p.m., the Red Line delays increased to 25 minutes while crews investigated and worked on correcting the signal problem. "Why do you keep shutting down major portions of the Red Line for nothing to improve?" Earlier that day, a press release issued by the T announced, "MBTA successfully completes latest infrastructure work on Red Line."
