Published August 4, 2026Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...James Lonnie Lowe, 82, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, at his residence. He was born Feb. 20, 1944, in Elizabethton to the late Steven & Lena Belle Grindstaff Lowe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Myrtle Estep, Mary Cole, Steve Lowe Jr., Jemema Ensor, Charlie Lowe and Wilma Williams. Graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Grindstaff Cemetery (Stoney Creek) with Pastor Eric Heaton officiating. Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Lowe family.
