Hopkinsville police are investigating a shooting Monday night that left one person critically injured. According to the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers responded at approximately 10:41 p.m. to the 3600 block of Velma Drive after receiving reports of a shooting. Police said the suspected shooter was taken into custody at the scene without incident. The victim was airlifted to a Nashville hospital for treatment and was listed in critical but stable condition. Police have not released the names of the victim or the suspect, and no charges have been announced.
