Among those paying tribute was award-winning saxophonist Dean Fraser, who described Boucher as an exceptionally gifted artiste whose greatest achievements still lay ahead.
“Ras Ajai did just fly in from foreign and say him ah go link him daughter.
“Brian Boucher, Ras Ajai, Pablo… ah mi bredda that,” he said.
Reflecting on their time together on the set of the biopic, Ziggy Marley described Ras Ajai as “humble, down-to-earth, positive and progressive.”
Ras Ajai spent years telling stories through music and film, giving voice to struggle, resilience and redemption.
