A Saline County deputy experienced non-life-threatening injuries while on a call Monday, Aug. 3. According to a release from Sheriff Daniel Kirchoff, the deputy was visiting with a property owner in rural Slater who was observing a burn pit, when an aerosol canister ruptured. Debris from the rupture struck the deputy, who was then treated at a Columbia hospital. KMMO News will have additional details as they become available.
