But some viewed Braun’s actions as another barrier to Black businesses applying for and receiving lucrative opportunities often awarded to white-owned companies. In-person marketing is an additional asset to generate leads for new business, Olomide added. Attending network events and building relationships with potential customers help Black businesses build their clientele and can lead to partnerships with other companies.
