I want to point out that the United States is a nation of laws. Laws are made to protect us against criminals and chaos. Many have come from distant lands and have become very good citizens. If he feels threatened in any way, he has the authority to protect himself — and everyone around him. I am one American citizen who welcomes anyone to come and live in our country — as long as they do so legally.
