Gas prices have edged up both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week. According to AAA’s weekly gas prices report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, increased by two cents to reach $4.32 per gallon. The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole rose by a nickel to reach $4.26. The average national gas price dropped by two cents over the past week to reach $4.09 which is still nearly a dollar more than last year.
