The ruling targets Ukrainian organizations accused of crimes against humanity during World War II. On Tuesday, the Prosecutor General’s Office informed that the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow declared mid-20th century Ukrainian nationalist leaders and organizations complicit in the war crimes committed by Nazi Germany. They are also accused of “crimes against humanity committed against the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War (1941-45). This nationalist narrative, however, has been accompanied by the concealment of some dark chapters of Ukrainian history, such as the collaboration of several organizations with the Nazi regime and the Holocaust.
