AUSTIN, Minn. — Police took two men into custody after a shooting on Monday in the 500 block of 13th Avenue SE in Austin, Minnesota. According to Austin Police Department Chief Michael Hartman, two Austin men who are on probation for firearm convictions were taken into custody on suspicion of second-degree assault. According to Austin police, responders rushed to 503 13th Avenue Southeast on a report of shots fired at about 9:15 a.m.An adult man sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, Hartman said. One was apprehended nearby, while the other was believed to be in the 900 block of 13th Avenue Southeast. Police eventually located the second suspect and placed him into custody.
