ROCHESTER — The Rochester Honkers took a lead in the sixth inning, but the Lacrosse Loggers scored seven unanswered runs to come away with a 10-4 win in front of an attendance of 1,215 at Mayo Field on Monday night.
ADVERTISEMENTJacob Nuetz homered to tie the game in the fifth, before Angel Santiago delivered an RBI double in the sixth for a 4-3 Honkers' lead entering the seventh.
Yet, the Loggers took advantage of 11 walks issued by the Rochester pitching staff, including five in the final three innings.
Eason Hurd came through with a two-run single in the seventh, while Maxwell Kalk smacked a three-run homer in the eighth as part of those seven unanswered runs for La Crosse.
The Honkers' final home game at Mayo Field comes Friday against these same Loggers.
