President Bola Tinubu has approved a fresh salary increase for personnel of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. Under the approved package, officers above the rank of Colonel, including Brigadier-Generals, Major-Generals, Lieutenant-Generals and Generals, will receive a 30 per cent salary increase. The new salary structure is expected to affect personnel of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force. However, the Federal Government announced that President Tinubu would soon unveil another salary increase for members of the Armed Forces. “I am confident that very soon Mr President will announce another salary increase for our men,” the minister said.
