Joseph “Joe” Lucien Trotter, Jr. passed away from cancer July 26, 2026 at home surrounded by family. Joe was born in Santa Anna, Texas July 24, 1939 to Mildred Fern (McSwane) Trotter and Joseph Lucien Trotter, Sr. He was raised on a ranch in Toyah, Texas and later moved to Aztec, New Mexico, where he graduated high school in 1957. He married Karolyn Kay (Hancock) Trotter in Lamesa in 1968. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Kay, sisters Kathy Goolsby and Alice Stephenson, and one son Billy Trotter.
