Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Plainview, Texas, with Anthony Longoria officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. Denys was born on July 21, 1955, in Lamesa, Texas, to Frederick and Christine Sanders. Denys was raised in Lamesa until he turned 18, then moved to Plainview, Texas, to attend Wayland Baptist College. He was involved in his community by supporting Opera of the Plains, Plainview Community Concerts, Christ in the Arts Ballet, Far East Broadcasting, and building the Plainview Christian Academy campus.
