William Shatner and Brad Paisley have finished work on Love & Other Mysteries, a 15-track spoken-word album due out Aug. 21 via Loaded Goat Records and UMG. The project pairs Shatner's original writing with musical arrangements from Paisley, Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith, and pianist Gordon Mote, with production from Paisley and Luke Wooten. The 2025 wildfires in California pushed recording out of Shatner's home state and into the Nashville, Tennessee, studio Paisley shares with his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley. "Bill came to me and said, 'Brad, I've written some songs, and they are my statement about life,'" Paisley says. One thing I've learned is it will be unexpected, innovative, and it will be a blast."
