The Philippines ranked 98th out of 190 countries in the latest update of the Notre Dame Global Adaptation Initiative (ND-GAIN) Country Index by the University of Notre Dame. The country scored 47.1 out of 100, where higher is better, making it one of the most vulnerable and least ready countries to climate change in the region. The index, which used 2024 data, ranks countries based on their overall climate vulnerability and adaptation readiness.
