CONVERGE ICT Solutions, Inc. recorded the country’s lowest average fixed broadband latency and an 84% decline in customer complaints during the second quarter (Q2), according to the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) latest Oplan Bantay Signal report.
The report showed Converge recorded an average latency of five milliseconds (ms) during the second quarter, while its average download speed reached 158 megabits per second (Mbps) in July.
“The second quarter performance of Converge saw a sharp improvement as complaints dropped significantly.
This shows Converge is addressing customer complaints and making targeted improvements to its network,” DICT Secretary Henry R. Aguda said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Oplan Bantay Signal program is the DICT’s nationwide initiative for monitoring telecommunications network performance through speed tests and network assessments covering download speed, upload speed, latency, and service reliability.
