A RELATIONSHIP BUILT ON COMPLEMENTARY STRENGTHSAccording to Statistics Canada and Global Affairs Canada trade data, bilateral merchandise trade between Canada and the Philippines reached approximately C$3.4 billion in 2025 — up by C$200 million from the previous year. Services trade, including education, tourism, financial services, and professional services, adds further depth to the relationship. Canada, meanwhile, offers the Philippines access to advanced technology, investment capital, a stable regulatory environment, and connections to broader North American markets. For the Philippines, deeper access to Canada would provide another avenue for exports, investment, and access to technology. For the Philippines, Canada represents access to investment, technology, and a G7 partner at a time when economic diversification is becoming increasingly important.
