Demolition work is well underway at the former 1960s-built Malmesbury Field retirement home, in Brighton Hill, while work to turn Windmill Court in Mortimer Common, near Tadley, is also progressing. Rob Speirs, director at Stepnell, said: "Securing these two schemes on the Affordable Homes Framework is a fantastic opportunity to transform two brownfield sites into high-quality and sustainable communities. The Windmill Court development will deliver 24 homes with a mix of tenures including social rent, shared ownership and private sale. Satwinder Kukadia, development delivery director (South) at SNG, said: "Our commitment to delivering good affordable homes and transforming communities in Basingstoke and Deane and West Berkshire continues as we begin work at these two sites. "These projects are replacing older buildings with well-designed affordable homes.
