The Seattle Mariners traded for outfielder Taylor Ward as part of a swap with the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. Baltimore received right-handed pitching prospects Alex Hoppe, Harrison Kreiling and Brock Moore in the deal, per MLB.com's Jonathan Mayo. Meanwhile, the Orioles parted ways with Ward less than one year after they landed him in a trade with the Los Angeles Angels. Ward has particularly found success against left-handed pitching this season, owning an OPS of .839 against lefties. Kreiling has suited up in three games for Seattle, allowing two earned runs in 8.2 innings of work.
