In the late 1800s, imported chestnut trees from Europe and Asia introduced diseases that spread chestnut blight. The program will feature a screening of the documentary Clear Day Thunder: Rescuing the American Chestnut, followed by a discussion with a representative from the American Chestnut Foundation about ongoing efforts to restore the species.
