Spectators at a showing of Spider-Man: Brand New Day at the Plaza Bocagrande cinema in Cartagena, Colombia, on August 2 reportedly fled the auditorium after the overpowering smell filled the room.
While the screening was not officially cancelled, many audience members did not choose to return to their seats.
So far, the film has received rave reviews, with Metro’s senior film critic Tori Brazier giving it four stars.
