Monday, we had 2 inches of rain at my house that lasted right through the early morning causing most boats to cancel their trips. Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said the rain spoiled the fishing during high tide when action from the pier is best. Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported triggerfish and tog were caught out of the Inlet on sand fleas and green crabs by fishing close to the rocks.
