Dr Moses MukoseFormer Inspectorate of Government commissioner for education and health fraud, Dr Moses Mukose, has been released after spending more than 20 hours in police custody following his arrest at Mulago National Referral Hospital. Mukose, 60, who also serves as the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) governor for the Busoga sub-region, was arrested on allegations of “wandering within Level Six” of the hospital’s VIP wing. According to Arnold, the patient’s room is adjacent to that of opposition politician Dr Kizza Besigye, who remains under tight security at the hospital. The arrest has drawn criticism from opposition leaders and human rights lawyers, who questioned both the legality of the arrest and the offence cited on the police bond.
