Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) is continuing its heat stress awareness and training programme as part of efforts to safeguard the health and safety of employees working in outdoor environments during the summer months. 17 of 2021, which outlines precautions to protect workers from heat stress and regulates work during the summer period. Organised by Kahramaa’s Health, Safety and Environment Department, the programme includes awareness and training workshops held over a three-week period. According to Kahramaa, around 650 employees from various departments have participated in the programme so far. The programme forms part of Kahramaa’s broader efforts to promote occupational health and safety in line with national legislation and recognised international standards.
