- A rapid city native and truck driver with FedEx Freight is preparing to represent South Dakota on the national stage. Terry Luthy will show off his skills at the National Truck Driving Championships in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania later this month. He's been driving for over 30 years, and under the FedEx Freight banner has logged over two-million safe driving miles. Competition includes a 40-question written test on important truck driving knowledge, a walk-around inspection of the truck and trailer, along with a driving test. Luthy says that the preparation for competition is also helping him be even more mindful of his driving on the job.
