Gardai say they are 'doing what they can' to prevent people using e-scooters for criminal activity. They seized 38 e-scooters and e-bikes this morning, as part of a high impact day of action targeting illegal use, and other criminal activity in the Dublin area. Detective Superintendent Jason Miley says operations like today's will help prevent dangerous use of the vehicles:"We've had 63 searches, 38 e-nikes and e-scooters have been seized. We've had three scrambler motorbikes, a number of quads, about €8,000 in cash and €83,500 worth of suspected drugs." He also says a gun was seized in West Dublin as part of the operation, one person was arrested in connection to that.
