An Athens man was rescued from a burning car on Friday in Calhoun County. The man, 42, sustained “multiple critical head injuries” stemming from a two-vehicle crash involving a 14-year-old Battle Creek teen who was driving. The Athens man was transported to Bronson Kalamazoo Hospital for treatment. The teen boy was the driver in a vehicle including multiple other juveniles, witnesses told the Michigan State Police. Following the crash, Troopers with the assistance of an unknown Good Samaritan pulled the Athens man from his burning vehicle.
