Lloyd Motor Group began as a single BMW showroom on Derwent Street in Cockermouth, West Cumbria, in 1976. Since then, it has grown into one of the UK’s most respected automotive groups, representing brands including BMW, MINI, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volkswagen, Škoda, Volvo, and Kia. Sam Lloyd, managing director of Lloyd Motor Group, said: "Fifty years is a significant milestone, and one we mark with a great deal of humility. In the 2010s, Lloyd Motor Group launched new Jaguar Land Rover retail centres in Ripon and Kelso, alongside Blackpool BMW, Lloyd Used Car Centre Carlisle, and the addition of Kia. To mark its 50th anniversary, Lloyd Motor Group has launched community initiatives and charitable activities across its retail locations.
