The application for outline planning permission from Nigel Kay Homes is for a site on land off Dalzell Street in Moor Row.
According to a planning statement the site extends to approximately 2.9 hectares and comprises grassland that slopes northwards.
It adds: “The River Keekle corridor passes in close proximity to the eastern edge of the site.”
It adds: “Services within the village include Moor Row Primary School (capacity 120 children), Emmanuel Church, Working Men’s Club car repairs, bakery, beauty salon and a playground.”
It adds: “They would be arranged within a series of pockets of housing, broken up by open space planted with hedgerows, trees, scrub and wildflower meadows.
