A months-long investigation by Laval police has led to the seizure of millions of dollars in assets, large quantities of drugs and firearms, dealing what authorities describe as a significant blow to an organized crime network operating in the region. The final phase of Project Daurade was carried out on July 28 after an investigation that began in September 2025. Over four operational phases, investigators executed searches at homes, a commercial establishment and vehicles in Laval, Montreal and Lanaudière. Investigators also seized four firearms, three air guns, counterfeit currency, drug production equipment and numerous cell phones. The operation involved the participation of Revenu Québec, the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (RACJ) and several units of the Laval Police Service.
